Pre-applied systems are widely used on socket set screws, because socket set screws generally have a locking function and it is important to make sure that locking properties remain unaltered through time.
Locking systems MK type (see brands: Scotch grip, Precote) with microencapsulating require unlocking torques even greater than assembly ones, whereas braking systems KL type (see brands: Tuflock, Nylock) prevent spontaneous unscrewing and make reutilization possible.
